In May 2023, we designed and built a 30 meter footbridge for the remote community of Suraj Mayu, Bolivia, with the help of the University of Toronto. Our chapter collaborated with the University of Toronto. The student travel team worked alongside EIA Staff, local masons, volunteer Bridge Corps Mentors and community members to complete the bridge's construction. Everyone worked tirelessly for 4 weeks and completed the bridge a week ahead of schedule. In June the Bridge was inaugurated and now serves over 950 community members. The travel team was hosted by the community, where we engaged in cultural and language exchange in mutual appreciation for our efforts.
