In 2022, we designed and built a 64 meter footbridge for the remote community of Quinamara in Bolivia. Our chapter collaborated with the University of Toronto to design the bridge. In May 2022, our chapter sent a group of students to manage and construct the bridge. The student travel team worked alongside EIA Staff, local masons, volunteer Bridge Corps Mentors and community members to complete the bridge's construction. Everyone worked tirelessly for 30 days, and on June 2, 2022, the Bridge was inaugurated and now serves over 350 community members. The travel team was hosted by the community, where we engaged in cultural and language exchange in mutual appreciation for our efforts.
